Big Airplane

The kids loved it. All of them. I could tell the twins were nervous at first, but once take off was over, they loved it. Slayder, he was awake for both take off's then he'd pass out for most of the rest of the trip. He was so super excited to be going on a BIG AIRPLANE that he wore himself out! Vacation was great... it was hot and sunny almost the entire week, and Slayder loved the ocean. The first day we walked down just to take a look, there was no swimming in it do to the rip tides from the hurricane Bill, but he stared at it and said "W-O-W, that's big water!" It took him a while to get used to the big waves and the salt water on his face... he cried each time it got in his eyes, but then he went right back for it! Seth & Sidnie both just wanted to go out farther and farther... I however am scared of sharks so I won't take them out very far at all!
I guess I am a lame-o chicken butt. Oh well. We went to a place that was basically an Alligator santuary. There were thousands of them. The kids all had a blast there also. They have the largest alligator known in captivity in North America. It was Gi-Normous!!!! Like, freaking huge! They had other animals and reptiles also, it was a really really cool place!
We did lots of shopping and sight see-ing around the town, we went to Lori's Art Museum and looked at the exhibits... and ofcourse we went out to eat! This is Sam's favorite part of Myrtle Beach... a place called 'The Original Benjamins'. Largest Seafood Buffet we've ever seen! It is like 30 bucks a plate, which is a total waste on me, but Sam eats his and my 30 dollars worth. He talks about that place all year, and I'm quite sure the only reason he agrees to go every year is so he can visit the Seafood Buffet! It's an great place to eat, if you like seafood. They have other things also, but majoirty is crab legs and stuff like that, stuff I don't like:) Sucks being picky.
Over-all this was a wonderful vacation again! We stayed in a new place, a 'house' instead of a hotel, and I will never stay in a hotel there again. This place was so much better! Seth got sick while we were there and had to go to the doc and get some meds, Slayder got the runs from all the pool/ocean water... but it was great either way!!

Lori and Sean are the best hosts in the world and help us out so much when we are down there. The twins asked if they could stay and live with Lori and Sean... LoL I'm sure they DON'T want that!! :)

The Best Weekend Yet...

This is the 'stink-eye' as we call it. Apparently my little man is far too big to be in little baby floaties while in a pool that the water is well over his head. What was I thinking? Geez. I was unaware of the fact that since turning 2, he is much too cool for certain things, like dorky helmets and baby floaties... I guess I need to get with the program. My friend JP was home from the Army, and so we made a day of it at her parents pool. The twins ((who are 9 now!!!)) loved it! They have a Slide going into the pool and a Diving board... BONUS! They were all SO not ready to leave! Slayder swam around ALL BY HIMSELF with just a pair of arm floaties on, and was jumping into the shallow end (which was STILL over his head). He went under and it scared him the first time, but after that he was diggin it!
Sid was so showing off for this pic!!
Seth totally did this like 30 times!
We had to leave early to drop Little Man off with Grandma and take Seth & Sidnie to a Lions game... wow! It was an awesome game, but neither one of the twins barely even knew what football was, so the entire game Sam was explaining to Seth what was happening and I was explaining to Sidnie what was happening. It was quite funny, cause even though we explained it, they still had absolutely no clue. They just jumped and cheered their little hearts out when the Lions pulled through at the end! ((We ofcourse had to tell them they won!! haha))
Yesterday was their birthday... one more year and they'll be in the double digits! Woot Woot! We had a small get together with some of my family and enjoyed some cake and ice cream! Slayder all morning was saying it was his cake and he wanted to eat it! Luckily, when the time came to have cake... he was napping and I still don't think he even ever got to eat any! Awh, poor deprived child of mine!
Finally to wrap up what was one of the busiest yet most fun weekends we've had, I took Slayder with me to the airport to pick up a friend. He is currently OBSESSED with airplanes and can hear them when no one else takes a second to listen. He is really very excited about getting to ride on one in 5 days:) Here he is soaking wet, washing his bike in the sprinkler... with nothing but his diaper and a wife beater on, watching a plane fly over... I call us 'City-Billies'.

Camping and Boobies...

This past weekend we went camping... AGAIN. Not that I don't like camping, cause really, I do. It's just not that easy to do with a 2 year old, especially when it rains all night and most of the next day, turning the campground into a virtual mud pit. I was not the most thrilled to be camping in the less than desirable down pour, however, Slayder loved it! He was quite the mess (we also had ribs for dinner, one of his favorite messy things)... We took the 4-wheeler out there for him to ride, which he did ((so did most of the BEER infested adults, who thought that it was hilarious!)), through the biggest puddle he could find... He also enjoyed splashing around in it, as it was quite huge! Okay, okay I played in it with him and so did his daddy! Hey, it was a fun puddle! Plus, Slayder is still so shy, he won't really do anything unless his dad or I am there doing it with him!And Yes, those are BEER cans floating around him in this giant puddle. It became more and more funny to fill the water hole with everyones BEER cans when they were done? Not sure, maybe I should of had some of that BEER, then I would understand!? Needless to say, my momma ended up meeting me and taking Slayder home for the night. I mean really, he was filthy! There was no where for me to bathe him and the drunkards were getting a little crazy for a 2 year old anyways! There was the whole "Beads for Boobies" thing happenin (thanks Rayniece!)... haha, and daddy was doing it too! Well what can I say, the boy loves boobies. ((You notice he has quite a few beads!!))
I think the next time we decide to go camping for the weekend, I will be checking the weather a little more closely... and until then I will continue to kick myself for when I'm in the grocery store and my kid is yelling "Beads for Boobies" to all the chicks going by!

My 'Cool' kid and the things he Says...

So, my kid rocks! Haha. Really, it's hard to believe what he can do/say being only 27 months old. The stuff he says, the way he rolls his eyes and stomps his feet when he doesn't like something. I have to take a step back and look at him sometimes, wondering if he really is only 2 years old. Kids are like sponges... everything he sees or hears he will repeat or copy at one point or another. I've definitely learned that by now. We were in Krogers and this old couple was telling me what a sweet, handsome little boy I had... then he catches a glimpse of the Budweiser and starts yelling "Daddy's BEER mommy, get Daddy's beer!" I just smile at the couple and say... 'no buddy, it's soda!' LoL Yeah right, we all know it's daddy's beer, but I mean geez, does he have to scream it at the top of his lungs at just the perfect moment to embarrass the hell out of me in front of the cute old couple? Or when we are at Steak's Eatery having dinner and Casey and I are just sitting talking quielty to eachother and he starts laughing yelling about how he just farted... I mean, yeah dude, I'm sure by now everyone can smell what just came out of you, but really do we have to yell it and laugh, as though, that's what we do at home?? (It could of only been worse had he of stuck a thumb to his head!!) Having a kid really teaches you a lot. I slammed on my brakes once and he kinda went forward in his car seat and said 'SHIT' as though he knew that was a 'shit' moment. (Needless to say, we watch our mouths now-a-days)... or try to I guess. This boy has no fear. Well let me take that back, when it comes to dangerous stuff he shouldn't be doing... he has no fear. When it comes to a loud car driving down the road, or the dogs barking out of no where, he gets so scared he will almost cry. Weird, right? Cracks me up. He is definitely not scared of getting hurt. He was doing some 'tricks' on his skateboard the other night... he said he was 'cool'. Is it even possible for a toddler to be 'cool'? Should he even know what that is yet?

And really, how 'cool' can you possibly be when you won't take off your Spongebob pajama shirt the enitre day and then proceed to ride your 'baby' bike out in front of the house all evening in it??

This boy is the funniest, smartest, most loving kid I have ever met. Luckily, I was the one choosen to be his mommy. I couldn't possibly love him anymore than I do... even if he does get even 'cooler'!
